Colour Palette
Oxford colour palette
The Oxford colour palette has a Black and White base. This approach distills the intention of direct and clean communication, while adding sophistication and polish. Grey tones are used as tints to accentuate or de-emphasize content, while secondary colours are brought in for property marketing communications.
Infographic accents are added for data visualization, but should not be used elsewhere in the brand.

Colour strategy
Colourways for Corporate and Property marketing applications
Solid colour backgrounds appear throughout the brand. Multi and bright colours should be used sparingly in corporate communications. Instead, lead with the Black and White base and use on photography and data visualization for colour. The full extended palette of secondary colours are brought in for property marketing communications. Stick to tonal colour selections within each separate applications to avoid multiple colours, or “rainbow” colourways.
Floorplan style
Tonal colour combinations
To ensure consistency with all branded floorplans, ensure the floorplan drawing style is consistently minimal with grey and black lines, combined with your choice of the following colour sets. The sets outlined here are tonal versions for floorplan labels. Try to adhere to these sets as closely as possible, given the content allows.
Grey background creates a more neutral appearance, and is used when there are 3 label colours needed, or when there is already colour in the layout.
The coloured background is more vibrant and is used when there are 2 label colours needed, or when there is no other colour in the layout.
Ensure the selected colour set is harmonious with other elements within the same application (e.g. cover).

Data visualization colour order
When visualizing data, the full colour palette can be used. Use the lighter and darker tones to create contrast. Always make sure that the colours used can be easily identified, even with small coverage. Contrast in tone and warmth will help establish this. If there is a story to be told through visualizing data (e.g. comparatives, or change over time), consider leveraging a bolder colour to highlight or pinpoint key points and trends. Always use Full Black and White for text colours to ensure legibility. To accommodate accessibility, directly label categories to reduce dependence on colour when possible.
Sets should flow from one to the next to ensure clear definition between each chart or graph.
